BIO

Working with Burke and co-writer Greg Kroll and surrounding himself with world-class musicians is a smart move, and Swanson is certainly rising to the occasion. With more fully realized tunes, and an increased depth and weight to his already, formidable and impressive pipes, Swanson is now ready to make his next move.

Residing full time in Nashville since 2009 he took some time off to explore a new career, get married and raise a family. But fortunately for Swanson that burning desire to write and perform his music never flamed out. Now settled and his boys getting a little older, he decided to jump back into the passion of creating music again in the studio. Making a few phone calls to some big league friends in the industry, he assembled a dream team with Producer/songwriter/guitarist Dan Tracey (Alan Parson Project, Save the world) and Engineer Dave Albro to start working on a brand new EP at Capricorn Sound Works on Music Row. "I've waited almost 20yrs to have this dream team of talent to make a record!" says Eric.

Dan presented this project to David Browning Chief A&R head of CrowdMusic and they quickly signed Swanson to an exciting distribution venture. CrowdMusic will now promote and sell Swanson's new EP titled "Awake". Pre - Release starts Monday Oct. 23rd with 2 Instant Gratification Songs Awake and Everything crashes available for download. The Official Release is Wednesday Nov. 1st!! Available for download everywhere and all Online Stores!!

Eric Swanson is an American adult contemporary and pop/rock singer, songwriter and musician. He has a powerful, emotive voice, both flexible and full of range. He’s paid his dues with the requisite almost-made-it bands in years past, along with time well spent honing his craft previously in Nashville TN and now with hard lessons learned, he’s ready to raise the bar. Raised in Kingston, New York, Swanson has dipped into the musicians-pool of nearby Woodstock and NYC, working with veteran producer/studio owner Chris Anderson(Todd Rundgren, Stevie Wonder, Goo Goo Dolls, Tori Amos, Third Eye Blind, Stevie Nicks etc…), venerable drummer/producer Gary Burke, artist/producer Saul Zonana and Platinum award winning mixer Pete Moshay. Swanson came up influenced by James Taylor, Eagles, John Waite, Bryan Adams, Richard Marx, Kenny Loggins, Journey, foreigner and Bon Jovi to name a few, and his melodic, catchy tunes are proof. In earlier studio sessions in NY, Gary Burke pulled in colleague Hugh McDonald who just happens to play bass with Bon Jovi to do some recording. Obviously for Swanson, this was pure heaven. Songs such as swirling “Through My Door,” potential power ballad “How could you” and lush “Awake” have more hooks than a tackle box, while “When It’s Gone” has a latent Michael McDonald lilt to it.
